how does a capcell work?

a friend gave me a power acoustic capcell-300 & im confused. if its a battery with a built in capacitor its still a battery & needs to charge, so how does it charge if you dont use a dual battery isolator? it has inputs & outputs to hook it up inline so is that all i have to do is hook it up inline & it will work fine? i only have 1 amp will this capcell handle my amp its a hifonics titan txi 7506 class a/b mono block, i am running a dual 4 ohm voice coil soundsplinter rlp 15" at 2 ohms sealed? thanks!

i must disagree with you on this you are wrong... a capcell or capacitor is a more like a storage place for voltage... typically on the average car is can hold 12-14.4 Volts of electricity running constant to a capacitor where as without it your amps will almost always see 12V however at 14.4 Volt your amplifiers run more effeciently giving your amp more constant power ... in fact its actually a BIGGER load on the battery and alternator because rather than there always being a constant 12V draw from just the amp you had before.... Now you have the cap and it draws more to be able to sustain the amp to peak performance for a short period of time ...i.e when the bass hits hard (it will be asking the batteries/Alt for 14.4 to give to the amp which is more than it ever was without it. These are only really worth it on high 1000RMS power and above other than that it might solve some light dimming issues but thats it
