Subwoofer Mono

i have one kicker 15" cvx and i want to know will rockford fosgate t1500 mono amp blow my subwoofer?
my subwoofer is 2ohms 2000watts/1000rms and my amp is 1000rms at 2ohms but i know fosgate amps are under rated so its more than that i know
I looked them both up and it looks like a perfect match. 1000 rms for the sub (2 ohms) and 1000 for the amp (at 2 ohms). Even if the amp is a little more power than 1000rms at 2 ohms, you can always turn the gain down a little... I would hook it up and see if the sub distorts at high volumes. If it does, I would lower the gain a little and keep adjusting back and forth... I would give it a thumbs up if I was going to install it. Have fun bumping!
