Rattle Trap

What are your favorite winter time bass setups and baits?

I only have a select few baits that i prefer to use in winter. First a 3/4 ounce or 1/2 ounce jig with pig trailer, 7.5 in - 10 in. texas rigged worms, rattle traps, and an occasional crankbait here and there. Anybody use anything different than what i have listed with any luck, excluding live bait?

fast moving baits don't work very well in the winter, the water temperature dictates how the fish will react and only if it's warmer will they give chase. if it's cold they won't run down cranks or spinners at all. I fish jigs fished slow and deliberate, I spend longer fishing each place I think a bass will be and focus more on the sunny side of rocks, stumps and trees. I use larger worms and then trout colored swimbaits fished like a jig, up kinda fast, and down slow is my best winter bait in larger sizes figuring also the winter brings rain and rain clouds the water to murky at best I would be using dark colors as well. I use rattles in my plastics in winter to maybe add a little something extra to the basses need to have my offering as well.
