Mil Rattle
Replacing Standard Stock with Magpul MOE on Smith & Wesson MP15-22?
I want to change the Standard Stock (unpinned) on my Smith & Wesson MP15-22 with a Magpul MOE.
I have read on some forums that this is totally possible and that some people have done it but when I went to buy one in Mil-Spec I was told that this would not work.
Has anyone actually replaced the Standard Stock with a Magpul MOE (or other makes) on an MP15-22? And if so does it work and gets rid of the annoying little rattle the standard stock makes?
Thanks very much for any comments.
WOP2_99:
All you do is pull down on the collapsible lever handle and pull in order to remove the collapsible stock. As for installing a Magpul stock, it's the same thing, you pull back on the lever while sliding the Magpul collapsing stock on the buffer tube. The only thing you have to keep in mind is there is two diameter stocks..commercial and mil-spec. A Commercial will fit both a Mil-spec and commercial buffer tube. A mil-spec will only fit a mil-spec buffer tube.
